Penn State football hosted a Class of 2028 interior offensive lineman on an unofficial visit this past weekend.
Carl Noisette is a three-star recruit from Gainesville, Ga. who's ranked No. 683 nationally and No. 46 at his position, per Rivals Industry Ratings.
Across the 30 teams interested in Noisette, Virginia Tech, Auburn, and Georgia Tech are frontrunners for his commitment. After this past weekend, the Nittany Lions became a serious threat to land him.
According to Ryan Snyder of On3/Rivals, the impression Penn State left on Noisette was striking. This was his first time visiting Happy Valley, but it didn't take much for head coach Matt Campbell to make an impact.
"The Lions shocked me [Saturday]," Noisette told Snyder. "They are my number one."

Class of 2028 interior offensive lineman Carl Noisette says Penn State is his number one
Noisette has visited a few programs throughout his recruitment. He has taken multiple visits to South Carolina, Virginia Tech, NC State, Auburn, and Georgia, but even having been on their campuses various times, the Nittany Lions instantly stood out.
The lineman had a strong 2025 season as a sophomore at Duluth High School, which earned him a Rivals Sophomore All-American honor. Now that Noisette is transferring to Gainesville High School, he should have an even better opportunity to showcase his ability. The Red Elephants went 12-3 overall in 2025, including a 5-1 region record, and had a state championship appearance. On the flip side, the Wildcats are coming off a rather lackluster 2025 season, finishing 4-6 overall and 2-5 in their region.
Noisette will have a chance to play with and protect four-star quarterback Kharim Hughley. Hughley is entering his senior season and has been committed to Clemson since July 2025.
The blue and white currently have an older group of linemen, headlined by redshirt senior Dominic Rulli, redshirt junior Anthony Donkoh, and junior Cooper Cousins. Under the new NCAA rules, these players could be eligible to play longer than anticipated, but Campbell still needs to cycle in fresh talent.
The only thing holding Noisette back right now is his size. At 6-foot-1 and 265 pounds, he would be significantly smaller than the current Nittany Lions in the trenches. Over his junior and senior seasons at Gainesville, he should start to up his weight and get stronger. However, he'll still be on the shorter side in comparison to who's on Penn State's roster currently, like 6-foot-7, redshirt freshman Owen Aliciene and 6-foot-6, redshirt freshman Malachi Goodman.
