On Monday, Dec. 29, wide receiver Anthony Ivey and linebacker Keon Wylie announced their plans to enter the Transfer Portal.

Wide receiver Anthony Ivey declares intent on entering the Transfer Portal

The redshirt junior was in the shadows in the Nittany Lions' wide receiver room for his career. He redshirted his first season in 2022 at Penn State and made one appearance in 2023. As a redshirt sophomore and redshirt junior in 2024 and 2025, respectively, he made 11 appearances in each season. Out of his 23 total games played, Ivey made just one reception for 15 yards against Kent State in 2024.

Penn State lacked a solid receiving room. With the introduction of senior transfers for the 2025 season, Ivey's decision does not come as a shock, even if playing time theoretically opened for his last year. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

Ivey is a Pennsylvania native who was a four-star recruit from the Class of 2022. He was the 32nd-ranked receiver from his class and 225th-ranked overall recruit, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He was also the No. 7 student-athlete out of the state at the time. Ivey received offers from schools, like Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Nebraska, and Virginia Tech.

Linebacker Keon Wylie declares intent on entering the Transfer Portal

Wylie's announcement came shortly after Ivey's on Monday.

The linebacker made three appearances as a true freshman in 2022, played in all 13 games in 2023, missed the 2024 season due to injury, and played in all 13 games in 2025. He also made three starts as a redshirt junior. On defense, Wylie made 47 total tackles, including eight tackles for loss. He also had 4.5 collegiate career sacks. In 2025, specifically, Wylie made 28 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one pass breakup, and one pass defensed.

From his class, Wylie was a three-star recruit and 40th-ranked linebacker. He is also a Pennsylvania native, ranking 13th from the state and 435th overall nationally among his class of recruits, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

During his recruitment, he received an offer from Iowa State, which was led by incoming Nittany Lions head coach Matt Campbell at the time. Wylie also received offers from Rutgers, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Pittsburgh.

Ivey and Wylie mark the eighth and ninth Nittany Lions expected to enter the portal when it opens. They join edge rusher Chaz Coleman, cornerback A.J. Harris, and edge rusher Zuriah Fisher as the most recent players to make their announcements.
