Penn State OL Anthony Donkoh showcases some brotherly love at prospect camp

The Nittany Lions' prospect camp had a familiar last name on the practice field with his older brother.

As official visit season winds down this weekend for Penn State football, it's shifted some of its attention towards recruits from younger classes.

At another one of the Nittany Lions' prospect camps this past week, current Penn Staters helped out the high school athletes during some of the drills. For veteran offensive lineman Anthony Donkoh, he got some one-on-one time with his younger brother, Andrew, in the process.

The Nittany Lion is entering his redshirt junior season after seeing game time in all 13 contests in 2025, including 11 starts. He helped Penn State's offense total 438 yards on 71 plays (303 passing yards, 135 rushing yards) while not allowing a single sack when he was on the field.

While the former Class of 2023 four-star prospect is primarily a tackle for the Nittany Lions, he also has experience playing on the interior to play right guard this past season. Donkoh is expected to move back on the outside to his preferred position at right tackle.

With his versatile skill set, Donkoh is now passing some wisdom down to his younger brother. The Class of 2029 recruit plays at guard for Lightridge High School, including some snaps as a nose guard as well.

While it's too early for Class of 2029 prospects to be ranked or targeted by programs around the country, it's evident that the family connection is strong with the Donkoh's and head coach Matt Campbell should have a prospect in the back of his mind once coaches are allowed to contact this cycle of recruits.

Andrew Donkoh was also on campus for other prospect camps. The Aldie, Va. native is clearly keen on following in his brother's footsteps once he reaches the collegiate level of his career.

Other programs will undoubtedly extend offers to him, potentially Virginia Tech with head coach James Franklin. The Hokies are just under four hours away from the Donkoh's hometown in Virginia. Franklin initially recruited Anthony Donkoh during the 2023 cycle and the Nittany Lions ran away in his recruitment with ease. Virginia Tech also offered him, but he exclusively took visits to Happy Valley.

Despite Franklin being with the Hokies now, Anthony Donkoh remained at Penn State after Campbell and offensive line coach Ryan Clanton made him a priority. His leadership was valued as well as his talent across the offensive line. The loyalty the staff showed the right tackle spoke volumes and is certainly a reason why his younger brother and the Nittany Lion staff are showing immense mutual interest in his recruitment as well.
