Penn State football hosted a prospect camp on Wednesday, June 10 where it found a surprising young talent in Swedish offensive tackle Oscar Webersink.

Webersink's recruitment process hasn't been lively, but he has started garnering interest from a few programs. Ten schools have extended offers to the Class of 2027 tackle, including the Nittany Lions who offered Webersink a scholarship at Wednesday's camp.

Webersink's first offer was back on June 1, 2025 from USF, but had to wait just under a year for his recruitment to pick up steam. Since May 11, he has received nine offers and attended various camps. Before Penn State's, he also visited Florida State's June 7 camp.

Other schools in contention for the international prospect are Northwestern, UConn, Maryland and Rhode Island.

Penn State hosts Swedish offensive tackle Oscar Webersink at camp and schedules official visit

Receiving an offer from the blue and white on the same day as their camp wasn't the only big news that came out of Wednesday. Alongside the offer, Webersink scheduled an official visit and will be back on campus for the third official visit weekend of the season — the second that the Nittany Lions' have hosted.

Following his camp and the immediate decision to return to Happy Valley for an official visit, Rivals' predictions boosted Penn State's chance to land Webersink. Ahead of the weekend, head coach Matt Campbell and offensive line coach Ryan Clanton have a 79.6 percent chance at earning his commitment. The Terrapins are behind in second with a measly 3.3 percent chance.

Despite being unranked as of early June, that's bound to change. Webersink has impressed at multiple school camps, according to Matthew Lenix of FSU Wire, which is evident by the surge in offers Webersink has received. He also worked out in front of Georgia's and South Carolina's staffs at their respective camps.

At 6-foot-8 and 290 pounds, Webersink's athleticism is undeniable. According to Dustin Lewis of FSU Seminoles On SI, Webersink tallied a 4.9 40-yard dash and an 8-foot-10-inch broad jump.

Webersink will be one of five prospects on campus over the weekend, and one of two offensive tackles. Three-star Lucas Rhoa is the second who is high on the Nittany Lions. Oregon, UCLA, and Texas are also in contention to land Rhoa. Four-star defensive lineman Elijah Guertin, three-star cornerback Dhillon McGee, and three-star safety commit Jonathan Galette are the other three who will be at Penn State on June 12-14.

Penn State's offensive tackle commits so far include recently elevated four-star David Tarawallie and three-star Ryan Robbins.
