Pat McAfee has brought a new tradition to ESPN College Gameday with the field goal challenge, and in Week 10 as No. 3 Penn State hosts No. 4 Ohio State at Beaver Stadium, he’ll have a special guest on campus to participate. Philadelphia Eagles legend and Ohio-native Jason Kelce has accepted the challenge to kick in the field goal challenge to raise $100,000 for Hurricane Helene relief.

Kelce was challenged by a former winner of the contest in a partnership with Vans, the shoes the Cal student wore when he made the kick a few weeks ago. He made the announcement with his brother Travis on their New Heights podcast and revealed that despite living in Pennsylvania since being selected by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, he has never been to State College.

Kelce’s appearance will only add to a chaotic day in Happy Valley with both College Gameday and FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff conducting their pregame shows from the grounds near the Bryce Jordan Center. However, a bit of the mayhem of the big game will be revealed as it has been reported that despite previously planning to attend the game, former president Donald Trump will not make the trip to Happy Valley on Saturday.

Penn State will be hosting College Gameday for the first time since its 2021 White Out win over Auburn. This will be the first time that McAfee, a Pittsburgh native and former West Virginia Mountaineers kicker will be in State College as a member of the Gameday crew.
