Penn State wrestling finished the season undefeated and clinched the Big Ten regular season title along the way before entering the postseason. At 15-0 overall and 8-0 in the conference, the Nittany Lions are on track to winning yet another national championship.

After defeating Princeton on Friday, Feb. 20, 50-0, InterMat released its final regular season rankings. Here's where Penn State's wrestlers landed after the 2025-26 regular season:
- 125 pounds: No. 1 Luke Lilledahl
- 133 pounds: No. 2 Marcus Blaze
- 141 pounds: No. 14 Braeden Davis
- 149 pounds: No. 1 Shayne Van Ness
- 157 pounds: No. 4 PJ Duke
- 165 pounds: No. 1 Mitchell Mesenbrink
- 174 pounds: No. 1 Levi Haines
- 184 pounds: No. 1 Rocco Welsh
- 197 pounds: No. 1 Josh Barr
- 285 pounds: No. 5 Cole Mirasola
Davis was previously ranked No. 12 in the 141-pound weight class before the weekend. He barely beat Princeton wrestler Matthew Martino in their dual, dropping the Nittany Lions' ranking by two spots. Davis won by an 11-8 decision. As for Mirasola, the second and only other Penn Stater whose ranking shifted, he bumped up one spot from No. 6. He dominated the dual versus Sebastian Garibaldi, winning by a technical fall at 3:46, 21-6. The squad officially has nine of 10 wrestlers in the top five of their respective weight class rankings.
The Nittany Lions prepare for the Big Ten Tournament next, which they host at the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8. Saturday's sessions are at 10 a.m. EST and 5 p.m. EST, respectively, and the combined session on Sunday starts at 12 p.m. EST. All sessions can be watched on the Big Ten Network or Big Ten+.
Thursday, March 19 marks the start of the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Cleveland, Ohio at Rocket Arena. The first two sessions will kickoff the tournment on Thursday followed by sessions three and four on Friday. Sessions five and six will be held on Saturday, March 21. Times for the events have yet to be announced.
