David Folorunsho, a four-star defensive lineman from the Class of 2027, announced his plans on visiting five campuses. Hayes Fawcett of On3 posted the group, including Penn State. Folorunsho is also penciled in for visits to Miami, Notre Dame, Missouri, and Indiana.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Folorunsho is the No. 163 recruit from his class and No. 20 defensive lineman. He is also the No. 9 prospect out of Illinois.

The Chicago Ill. native is set to visit the Tigers on June 5 and the Hoosiers on June 19. He also has a May 29 visit planned to Purdue. The Nittany Lions extended an offer to Folorunsho on Jan. 22.

As of March 3, the Fighting Irish are in the lead to land the defensive lineman. With a 93.8 percent chance of earning his commitment, Indiana is the next closest with a 1.6 percent chance, as predicted by Rivals. Charles Power's scouting report stated that Folorunsho ranks just outside the five-star bubble.

With the group of visits the Nittany Lions currently have scheduled, six are with four-star recruits. Alongside Folorunsho, Penn State hosts safety Gabe Jenkins and wide receiver Khalil Taylor Friday, June 5. Offensive tackle Carter Jones, defensive lineman Jon Ioane, and cornerback Kei'Shjuan Telfair are scheduled for Friday, June 12. The date for Folorunsho's visit has yet to be announced.

Head coach Matt Campbell and his Penn State squad still fighting for a Class of 2027 commitment. While more four-star visits will likely happen outside of the current six, Campbell has to hit big with an elite recruit. Especially given the resources he has in Happy Valley versus at Iowa State, there's no excuse for Campbell to come away from this recruiting cycle empty handed in terms of elite talent.
