Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft has been kind to the Penn State Nittany Lions, with two players already selected in the fourth round. The day started out with offensive tackle Drew Shelton being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, and just eight picks later, EDGE rusher Dani Dennis-Shelton was drafted by the Green Bay Packers.
The Green Bay Packers made a blockbuster trade before the start of the 2025 season, receiving star linebacker Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys. This means that Parsons will be joined by a familiar face in Dennis-Sutton, something he will be excited about.

A pick Penn State alum Micah Parsons will certainly love.
The Packers desperately need help in the pass rush game, especially with Parsons coming off a torn ACL at the end of the season. So, drafting Dennis-Sutton proves they are committed to improving that. Many didn't expect Dennis-Sutton to go this late in the round, but now he has become a steal for the Packers, according to FanSided Lombardi Ave expert Freddie Boston.
Dani Dennis-Sutton first words as a Green Bay Packer are absolutely perfect
Dennis-Sutton is a player who lives and breathes football. He has the best mindset coming into the NFL as a player who is always ready to go on the snap and plays through the whistle. Dennis-Sutton has already spoken to the media about going to Green Bay, and it will have Packers fans and Penn State fans ready to see him in the NFL.
"I love, and I need football," Dennis-Sutton said in an interview with The Athletic's Matt Schneidman. "I live and breathe football."
The Penn State EDGE rusher is also very ready to join Parsons in Green Bay, knowing the type of taletn he is about to learn from.
"He’s the best in the league … just trying to be the best alongside of him going forward," Dennis-Sutton said.
Until Parsons can get back on the field, Dennis-Sutton will have a chance to be the EDGE rusher that the Packers need in order to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks, and this could be a huge steal for this NFL Draft.
