Announcers for Penn State vs. Purdue on CBS in Week 12
By Josh Yourish
After spending last week buried on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, Penn State football is back on network TV for its Week 12 matchup with Purdue. The No. 4 Nittany Lions will head to West Lafayette on Saturday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on CBS against the 1-8 Boilermakers.
Penn State bounced back from its lone loss of the season well, dismantling Washington 35-6 in the annual White Out Game at Beaver Stadium after taking a 28-0 first-half lead. After struggling in the red zone against the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Nittany Lions went 5-5 with four rushing touchdowns on red zone trips, two from tight end Tyler Warren, one from backup quarterback Beau Pribula, and one from running back Kaytron Allen.
Quarterback Drew Allar played well, but routinely had the ball taken out of his hands when offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki was looking to punch it into the end zone. This week, Allar has another opportunity to earn back some of Kotelnicki’s trust in what should be a lopsided affair at Ross-Ade Stadium.
The Boilermakers will be hoping to rebound after a 45-0 loss at the hands of Ohio State in Week 11. Penn State is going for an 11-1 season. Purdue is just looking for win No. 2.
