Big Ten QB rankings, No. 7: Brendan Sullivan (was 10)

  • Passing yards: 714
  • TD: 6 INT: 2
  • Comp: 63.6%
  • YPA: 7.2

In Week 10, Iowa did what Iowa always does. They took Northwestern and dragged them down to the depths of hell, where the Hawkeyes thrive, and beat Brendan Sullivan and the Wildcats 10-7. Sullivan was the better quarterback, going 12-19 for 81 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball 16 times for 24 yards.

The real reason why Sullivan took a jump up the rankings was his performance against Maryland in Week 9. Taulia Tagovailoa is the leading passer in the Big Ten, but Sullivan outplayed him in a 33-27 Northwestern victory.

Sullivan threw for 265 yards on 16 of 23 passing with two touchdowns and ran for 56 yards on 14 carries. It was his best performance of the season. At 7.2 yards per attempt, he is fourth in the Big Ten and his 73.9% adjusted completion rate is fifth.
