Big Ten QB rankings, No. 9: Athan Kaliakmanis (was 12)

  • Passing yards: 1,290
  • TD: 10 INT: 7
  • Comp: 54.1%
  • YPA: 6.3

The Greek Rifle hasn’t done a lot to move up in these rankings, it’s more that everyone else around him has made a case to drop. Though in Week 10, Kaliakmanis was efficient against Illinois.

He threw for just 167 yards but did it on 11 completions and 22 attempts and threw three touchdowns. He is seventh in the conference in QBR and EPA, but he’s only completing 54.1% of his passes and has seven interceptions.

Despite ranking highly in QBR and EPA among Big Ten QBs, Minnesota is 120th in total offense and 123rd in yards per play, which Kaliakmanis has to be held responsible for.
