Big Ten QB rankings, No. 11: Katin Houser (was 11)
- Passing yards: 674
- TD: 3 INT: 2
- Comp: 58.7%
- YPA: 6.2
Katin Houser is not great, but what has been impressive is his ability to deal with pressure. When under pressure, which is 30% of his total dropbacks this season, he is completing 57.1% of his passes for an average of 8.0 yards per attempt. His yards per attempt against pressure ranks third in the conference.
In Michigan State’s win over Nebraska, he went 13/20 for 165 yards and a touchdown. There wasn’t a ton expected from him, but he was efficient with the dropbacks he had and won the game. That’s really all you can ask of a true freshman.
