Big Ten QB rankings No. 11: Katin Houser, Michigan State
- 392 passing yards
- 2 TDs 2 interceptions
- 58.2% completion
- 5.9 yards per attempt
It has not been easy for Houser in his two starts as a freshman for the Spartans. First of all the program is in complete disarray, but secondly, he had to face a good Rutgers defense and then the best team in the country.
The Spartans didn’t manage any points against Michigan, but the freshman also wasn’t completely in shambles against the best defense in the nation. He only turned the ball over once and was sacked just twice. He showed some poise and good decision-making in that game.
Against Rutgers, he threw two touchdowns and ran in another while not turning the ball over. That was a good debut, so he gets a pass for a 49-0 loss to Michigan.
