Big Ten QB rankings No. 13: Brendan Sorsby, Indiana

  • 420 passing yards
  • 3 TDs 0 interceptions
  • 51.1% completion
  • 4.8 yards per attempt

Tayven Jackson started the year as Indiana’s quarterback, but the Hoosiers have transitioned back to Brendan Sorsby. I’m not sure why.

Sorsby is only completing 51.1% of his passes and he keeps missing on deep shots. 20.5% of his attempts have been 20+ yards downfield, but he’s only completed three of them and miraculously averages just 4.3 yards per attempt.

His biggest strength is his ability to avoid sacks when he’s under pressure. He has been pressured 45 times, but only sacked four times. He’s had to scramble 15 times and the other times he’s managed to get the ball out. That is something to give Indiana fans hope for their freshman, but otherwise, he’s been underwhelming.
