5 recruits James Franklin needs to get to beat Ohio State and Michigan

Andrew Dennis – 2024 IOL (Mount Pleasant, MI)
Penn State might have the best running back duo in the entire country with Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen and for some reason, they can’t run the ball. Against Ohio State, the Nittany Lions finished with 49 total rushing yards (62 if you remove negative yardage from sacks). On the season,
Penn State is 70th in yards per rush averaging 4.1 after averaging 4.8 last season when Singelton and Allen were freshmen. Franklin has continued to add running backs, like Quinton Martin the No. 1 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania, but if the NFL has taught us anything, that’s not the only key to a good running game.
Andrew Dennis is a four-star who, at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, projects at guard. He is the 23rd-ranked interior offensive lineman and Penn State already has commitments from No. 2 and No. 15 on that list, but you can never have too much depth in the trenches.
