5 recruits James Franklin needs to get to beat Ohio State and Michigan
By Josh Yourish
Ernest Willor Jr. – 2024 DL (Towson, MD)
Ohio State beat Penn State’s defense with a talented guy on the outside, but Ohio State’s defense beat Penn State in the trenches. The Big 10 will keep getting flashier with USC, Washington, and Oregon on their way, but the conference has always been won by the big guys inside.
Ernest Willor Jr. is the top player from Maryland in 2024 and the No. 20 defensive lineman in the country according to 24/7 Sports. The 6-foot-3 255 pound four-star is also one of the most patient players in the country. While most of the top 100 have already verbally committed, Willor is still between Maryland, Virginia Tech, Miami, Ohio State, and Penn State.
Willor has the ability to win as a pass-rusher from inside or on the edge, but with his size, he fits the mold of a Penn State edge. He is nearly the exact size of Adisa Isaac who is 6-foot-4 255.
The Nittany Lions are second in the country in sacks per game and second in total defense, but Chop Robinson is likely off to the NFL and Adisa Isaac is a red-shirt senior, so Franklin needs to reload.
Willor will wait until after his senior season at Concordia Prep is over to make his official visits.
