The Penn State Nittany Lions are starting to receive kickoff times for their football games this fall. Seeing these kickoff times makes the fan in me start to consider which teams will pose the biggest threat to derailing the goals for Penn State in 2023.

The current over/under win total for Penn State is set at 9.5 on the season which is very achievable; however, that doesn’t mean the path to 10 plus wins will be an easy task by any means. In fact, some of the most difficult challenges for Penn State this fall will come toward the end of the season. That is a difficult time due to the injury toll that begins to build, player fatigue, and of course, the weather continues to worsen the deeper we go into the fall season.

Today. let’s dive into the top 3 most challenging games to me Penn State needs to get at least 2 of these 3 games to have a chance at the Big Ten Championship and securing their first-ever college football playoff berth. These rankings will appear from most winnable to most difficult.
