In the 5th round of the 2023 Nittany Lion mock draft, the Cincinnati Bengals use pick 163 to select former Penn State football wide receiver Parker Washington.

Tyler Boyd has been on the Bengals for many years now and they are looking to upgrade the slot WR position. They grab Parker Washington who slips in the NFL draft because of his injury at the end of the 2022 season.

Washington would feast in this offense, while Ja’marr Chase and Tee Higgins demand their respect, Parker can take advantage of an outside linebacker or a slot corner. He’s someone that will be an afterthought to the casual NFL fan, but we in the Penn State community know that Washington is capable of being that explosive dynamic WR. I don’t believe he is an NFL starter from day one, but over the next year or two he can certainly get there.

During his Penn State career, it felt like he was better suited for being a #2 or #3 option on the field so going to the Bengals would be a great fit for him. This way he can show off his skillset in a dominant NFL offense.
