This past weekend Penn State Football held its annual Blue-White game. This year was a pretty different feel from years past. 11-on-11 football with full contact across the board (aside from Quarterbacks) has eluded the program for quite some time, but we got it this year, and it gave us a great glimpse into 2023 Penn State Football.

There were so many players to watch this game; with a new quarterback “battle”, replacing two wide receivers, replacing two draft picks in the secondary, and replacing a multi-year starter at defensive tackle, there was no shortage of things to keep an eye on.

After digesting this past weekend’s Game (watching it 10 times), the main thing that stuck with me is there are legitimate battles for playing time at every position. Rotation after rotation there were young guys out there making plays that have a legitimate buzz around them.

There are a lot of guys who will be battling for a role in the fall, but there are three who I think have the opportunity for a bigger role than the others.
