Coming in at number 2 on my list is former Penn State football wide receiver, Chris Godwin. He was selected in the third round pick 84 of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During the 2016 season at Penn State Godwin was a monster. In his 2016 alone 59 receptions for 982 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was the ultimate home run threat. As the years went on after he was drafted he continued to improve his game and dominate the competition.

Everything changed once Tom Brady announced he would be signing with the Buccaneers. He won the 2020 Super Bowl and has gone from a star to a superstar.

In his 6 year NFL career, he has accumulated 446 catches for 5,666 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also had a career-high 104 catches this past season, coming off of an ACL tear he didn’t miss a beat.

Godwin is one of the most reliable receivers in the NFL and has outshined his 3rd round-draft pick. That 2016 season at Penn State will always live with me, Chris Godwin was a massive part of the team’s success that year.
