Pat Freiermuth was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft he was picked 55th overall. He played at Penn State from 2018-2020 and was an incredible tight end over his Penn State football career.

It was no shock to see Freiermuth have success at the next level. I can vividly remember his first preseason touchdown catch against the Detroit Lions.

He just finished his second year in the NFL and has already racked up some monster numbers. His career statistics include 123 catches for 1,229 yards and 9 touchdowns.

This is a player that brings the complete package to the table every Sunday. Not only does he have reliable hands, but he also blocks very well. You could tell last season that he became the security blanket for rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett and his improved numbers prove that.

During his career with Penn State, he hauled in 93 catches for 1,185 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was just a physically imposing player and by the time the 2019 Cotton Bowl was played, he made sure the whole country knew his name with this infamous play.

He will continue to have loads of success as the years go on and it was pure joy watching him during his time at Penn State.
