Malick Meiga enters his junior year at Penn State during the 2023 season. He is a 6’4 wide receiver from Saint Jerome, QC.

I truly thought last season he would have had a larger role on the team. In 2021, he scored his first career touchdown, and many within the Penn State community felt that he was ready to take the next step.

Unfortunately for Meiga, his numbers decreased last season. He recorded 3 receptions for 19 yards.

This year is a make-or-break season for him in my opinion. He will need to out-battle transfer WR Malik McClain who has a lot of his own praise while only being on campus a few months.

The Blue-White game is the perfect opportunity for Meiga to show off his skill set. I would love to see him make a few contested catches, bring in a jump ball or two, and show how physical he can be as a blocker as well.

He has proven himself to be a valuable asset on special teams, and he has paid his dues in that area. If he can find himself in the wide receiver rotation, the Penn State football team could unlocked a whole new weapon.
