Penn State Football: Updated jersey numbers for the 2023 season

The Early Enrollee Freshmen

As I mentioned earlier, freshmen don’t typically get the largest selection of numbers when they get on campus. Some of these might even change before fall camp 2023.

Offensive lineman and class leader Alex Birchmeier will begin his Penn State career wearing #63.

J’ven Williams one of the most athletic offensive line prospects in recent years will wear #70.

Anthony Donkoh who also is part of this loaded true freshman offensive line group will wear #68 this season.

The lone QB prospect in this class Jaxon Smolik will take over Sean Clifford’s #14.

Two new tight ends have stepped on campus this spring. Mega Barnwell will wear #85 and Joey Schlaffer will wear #18.

The Penn State football community hopes to continue building onto the LBU legacy with linebackers Tony Rojas who will wear #13, and Ta’Mere Robinson who will wear #24.

Finally, we have the defensive backs for the 2023 early enrollees Zion Tracy will wear #12, Elliot Washinton takes over Ji’Ayir Brown’s #16, and Lamont Payne Jr will wear #27 for the Nittany Lions.

A lot of new numbers and new faces to keep track of for the 2023 Blue / White game. Excited to see the majority of these players run onto the field at Beaver Stadium for the first time in a Penn State uniform next Saturday.
