There have been several moving parts surrounding the Penn State basketball program since Micah Shrewsberry left State College.

It’s sad to see players leave the program, you watch them during their time with the Penn State basketball team and begin to enjoy their style of play.

Unfortunately, this is the reality of the sport. Coaches will get fired or find a better opportunity and the players are left with making a decision. Do we follow our old coach to his new destination? Or, do we stay here and continue and try and make an impact? Promises made by one coach might not be upheld by the next coach, so these players are left with making a tough decision.

To keep the Penn State basketball community up-to-date, we will review all 5 of the Penn State basketball players that have entered the transfer portal since the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season.
