Penn State Football is looking to continue its recent recruiting success with the visitors on campus this weekend.

Penn State Football is in the process of building its 2024 class, and it will have an opportunity to do that this weekend.

One of the most electric wide receivers in the 2024 class is 4-star Jerrae Hawkins. The speedster tweeted on Friday that he will visit Penn State on Saturday.

This is a huge visit for the Nittany Lions, as they are looking to add to first wide receiver to the 2024 class. This is also new wide receivers coach Marques Hagans’ chance to make a strong impression on Hawkins and other visitors.

Hawkins is rated as the No.28 wide receiver in the 247 Sports Composite. He is originally from West Virginia, but currently attends IMG Academy. Listed at 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds, Hawkins is not the biggest guy by any means, but his speed makes him a threat on every play. According to 247 Sports, Hawkins ran a 4.25 40-yard dash at a camp in Ohio State.

A fair comp for Hawkins may be another IMG receiver, KJ Hamler, who had a fantastic career at Penn State.

The Nittany Lions have struggled to recruit wide receivers lately, but Hagans will look to change that in the 2024 cycle.

Currently with four commits, Penn State’s 2024 class ranks 20th in the national rankings. The goal is to stack talented recruiting classes, and the Nittany Lions are looking to make it three in a row this year.
