3. Recruiting

This is more or less a combination of the first two, but a big season from Allar will help with recruiting.

Landing Allar was a huge moment for this program, it had struggled to recruit the quarterback position over the last decade. Adding a 5-star quarterback to the roster was a game changer.

The thing is, Allar will only spend two or three more years in Happy Valley, it’s not too early to think about the future.

The next step for Penn State Football is to make landing highly touted quarterbacks like Allar a regular occurrence. The Nittany Lions will likely never land a 5-star every year like Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State do, but every couple of seasons will help the program stay competitive.

If Penn State wins a lot in 2023 and Allar puts up big numbers and receives awards and draft hype, high-profile quarterback recruits in the coming recruiting classes will take notice.

The more quarterbacks like Drew Allar that Penn State Football lands, the better the program will be.
