The Penn State Nittany Lions and Indiana Hoosiers will face-off in Big Ten Tournament action on Saturday, with a spot in Sunday’s championship game on the line.

Penn State entered the conference tournament as the No. 10 seed, but upset wins over No. 7 Illinois and No. 2 Northwestern has led them to this spot.

Can the Nittany Lions pull off another upset and continue their Cinderella run?

Let’s dive into the odds and then I’ll give you my best bet.

Penn State vs. Indiana odds, spread, and total

Penn State vs. Indiana prediction and pick

Penn State may just be the most underrated shooting team in the country, and people should have expected a potential dark horse run in the Big Ten tournament.

Heading into today’s game, Penn State ranks 11th in the country in effective field goal percentage, well above Indiana who comes in at 33rd.

I expect Penn State to be able to attack Indiana on the perimeter tonight as well. The Nittany Lions rank 8th in the country in three point shot rate, and they also rank 8th in three point field goal percentage, hitting 38.8% of their shots from beyond the arc.

This afternoon, they get to take on an Indiana team that ranks just 123rd in opponent three point field goal percentage, allowing teams to shoot 33.2% from three point land against them.

Another area that Penn State has a major advantage in is turnovers. The Nittany Lions do a great job of protecting the ball, ranking 6th in the country in turnovers per possession. Indiana, on the other hand, ranks outside the top 100 in that stat.

College basketball is all about getting hot at the right time, and the Nittany Lions are doing just that. I think they have a great chance to upset Indiana today and advance to the Big Ten final.
