3. RB Nick Singleton

The other half of Penn State’s dangerous running back duo is speedster Nick Singleton.

As a true freshman in 2022, Singleton became a household name across the Big Ten. On just 156 carries, Singleton racked up 1,061 yards and 12 touchdowns, that’s an average of 6.8 yards per carry. Singleton also caught a touchdown pass and returned a kickoff for a touchdown.

Between Singleton and Allen, the Nittany Lions were able to totally redo their run game, which was a huge weakness in 2021.

For his outstanding play, Singleton was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, beating out two of his teammates and multiple other players across the conference.

Now in the middle of another offseason in the strength and conditioning program, Singleton has the chance to add more weight and become a more physical back. If that happens, the Big Ten will be put on notice because Singleton will be hard to stop.
