Penn State Football returns one of the most talented rosters in the country in 2023.

This upcoming season is one of the more important ones for Penn State Football in recent memory.

Coming off of an 11-2 season that resulted in a Rose Bowl win, expectations are through the roof for the Nittany Lions. They are expected to start the season comfortably inside the AP Poll top ten and will be a dark horse national championship contender.

One reason why there is so much hype around this team is because of all the talent it returns. While the likes of Sean Clifford, Parker Washington, PJ Mustipher, Joey Porter and Ji’Ayir Brown will not return, plenty of other stars do.

Trying to rank all of this returning talent will not be easy, but today we’re going to give it a try.

Note that Kent State transfer Dante Cephas will not be on this list because he’s not on the roster yet. Projected starting quarterback Drew Allar will also not appear because of the small sample size of play we have to go off of. Allar could very well enter 2024 as the best player on this team though.
