Penn State Football is looking for its second straight impressive linebacker haul in a recruiting class.

Penn State Football added to its 2024 recruiting class earlier this week with the addition of 4-star linebacker Kari Jackson.

Jackson became the third commit in the 2024 class and the second linebacker to join the fold, along with fellow 4-star Anthony Speca.

These two linebackers, in addition to the three Penn State signed in the 2023 class, gives the Nittany Lions five blue-chip linebacker recruits in the last two classes. This is a big deal considering Penn State was relying on walk ons and former safeties at linebacker in 2022.

Now that defensive coordinator Manny Diaz had reloaded the depth, it’s likely that the Nittany Lions take only one more linebacker in the 2024 class. Room could become available down the road as the cycle moves on, but it’s hard to see Penn State having room for two more linebackers unless they are a “can’t miss” prospect.

Here are three targets who could be the next, and possibly the last, linebacker commit in Penn State’s 2024 class.
