Penn State Football has had scores of legendary players put on the blue and white throughout the years. 

Penn State Football is one of the most historic programs in the country, winning over 900 games and having dozens of future first round draft picks.

The Nittany Lions are a national brand and plenty of legendary players throughout the years helped them get to that national image.

Penn State has found ways to honor its legends over the years, but what if the Nittany Lions decided to do their version of Mt. Rushmore? Four players that truly represented everything Penn State stands for and had memorable careers that fans still talk about to this day.

For most people, picking just four former Nittany Lions would be quite difficult. Everyone is going to have a different opinion and there honestly is no right answer. There are 20 to 30 names that all have a solid argument to be one of the four honorees on the Penn State Mt. Rushmore.

With that said, here’s our version of the Penn State Football Mt. Rushmore that would in theory overlook Happy Valley from the side of Mt. Nittany.
