1. Alex Felkins

Who is Alex Felkins you may ask? Well Alex Felkins is a Senior walk-on kicker who transferred to Penn State from Columbia University.

He is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Felkins has had a very successful career at the FCS level. He is a former two-time All-Ivy League selection in 2019 and again in 2021.

He went 36 for 54 (66%) on his field goal attempts at Columbia and his career long was 53 yards (per Columbia University athletics), which he logged this past season. He has also connected on 75 PATs in his career as well.

Now, you might read that career field goal percentage and think that it’s not good enough. However, when you take a closer look at his statistics, you will see that each year he has improved his accuracy. In 2019 it was 64%, 2021 66%, and last season a career best 69%.

Felkins will have a huge opportunity to become the starting kick for Penn State Football in 2023, he just needs to cease the opportunity in Spring Ball and Fall Camp.
