RB Nick Singleton

Running back Nick Singleton is already a star in the eyes of Penn State football fans, but 2023 is his chance to make a national name for himself.

As a true freshman in 2022, Singleton carried the ball 156 times for 1,061 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown in addition to returning a kick for a touchdown.

Like with Kalen King, the nation got its first taste of Singleton in the Rose Bowl when he had 120 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries. He showed off the type of homerun speed he possesses in a big way.

Singleton will be in line for a jump in production in 2023, especially early in the season as the Nittany Lions work to break in new starting quarterback Drew Allar. He will also benefit from the fact that he will not be overused, because Penn State has another really goof running back in Kaytron Allen.

Allen may not have the speed that Singleton does, but he’s a powerful back who does all the little things well, including blocking and pass catching. This duo is perfect for each other and complements each other well.

With another offseason in the weight room, Singleton will get even stronger, making him even tougher for defenses to stop.
