Penn State Football will boast one of the most talented rosters in the country in 2023

Penn State Football is primed for a big season in 2023 and multiple players will help carry the Nittany Lions throughout the season.

After going 11-2 and winning the Rose Bowl in 2022, Penn State has garnered plenty of national hype heading into the 2023 season. The Nittany Lions return plenty of talent and will have some new faces emerge as key contributors this upcoming season.

With that said, the Nittany Lions do have to replace numerous stars from the 2022 squad. Four-year starting quarterback Sean Clifford rode off into the sunset at the Rose Bowl, while his top three pass catchers from 2022, wide receivers Parker Washington and Mitchell Tinsley and tight end Brenton Strange are all off to the NFL as well.

On defense, projected first round pick cornerback Joey Porter Jr. will not return. Other losses on defense include the two leaders of the unit in safety Ji’Ayir Brown and defensive tackle P.J. Mustipher.

While these may seem like significant losses, this is also an opportunity for other players to step up and assume leadership roles and also become household names across the nation.
