Penn State Football: What the renovations to Beaver Stadium might include
Better Wi-Fi
This is something that younger fans have a problem with, but the truth is it’s nearly impossible to use a phone in Beaver Stadium.
The phone service problem has always been an issue in the tailgate lots. There’s just too many people trying to use too few cell towers. While we can’t expect Penn State to reach out to every phone provider and add two towers a piece just for seven days a year, there are other ways to make the problem manageable.
There technically already is a fan Wi-Fi at Beaver Stadium, but it quickly gets overloaded and ends up just as useless as if you didn’t use it. This makes it difficult to check the scores of other games, post pictures to social media and communicate with people around the stadium or at home during the game.
The only solution to this is to add more wi-fi routers throughout the stadium so they don’t get overloaded with so many people on it. Possibly giving each section, or each side of the stadium, its own wi-fi to connect to may help as well.
