Penn State Football is continuing its momentum on the recruiting trail

Penn State Football needed to start stacking top recruiting classes, and that’s just what it did in the 2023 cycle.

The Nittany Lions finished the 2023 cycle with 23 commits, which ranks No. 13 nationally. The class did not get as high as the 2022 class, which finished No. 6, but it was a great complement to that class, nonetheless.

The fact that 18 of the 23 signees are 4-stars or better shows that the Nittany Lions are really starting to stack talent on the roster. This class had more blue-chip recruits than the 2022 one, even though the 2022 one is ranked higher.

Each class has areas where it is stronger than at others. The 2022 class was super strong at quarterback, running back and wide receiver, but had some deficiencies elsewhere. The 2023 class was certainly no different.

Here are the four positions that Penn State Football had the most success recruiting in the 2023 cycle.
