The 2023 recruiting cycle is officially in the books for Penn State Football and the rest of the nation.

Penn State Football finished the cycle strong, landing 4-star offensive lineman Chimdy Onoh on Wednesday afternoon to cap off the class.

The class finished No. 13 in the national rankings with 23 signees. While this class did not finish in the top ten like the 2022 did, the Nittany Lions still have plenty to be proud of with this haul.

For starters, out of the 23 signees, 18 of them were composite blue-chip recruits (4-star or better). That gives Penn State a blue-chip recruit ratio of 78%, which is tied for the highest ratio in any James Franklin recruiting class at Penn State.

This recruiting success, combined with a season capped off by a Rose Bowl win, is a big reason why many think the Nittany Lions have a legitimate shot at making the College Football Playoff in 2023.

But, before looking ahead to the next season, let’s put a bow on the 2023 recruiting class and hand out grades for each position group and the class as a whole.
