Penn State Football will look to sign another top-notch recruiting class on Wednesday

With the Early Signing Period opening on Wednesday, Penn State Football will try to close out the 2023 recruiting class on a high note.

While the Nittany Lions No. 1 priority will be to make sure all 23 of their current commits sign their letter of intent to Penn State, they will also try to add to the class.

Wednesday’s signing period is not the end of the road for the 2023 cycle. There’s still National Signing Day in February, and Penn State will be busy then as well. With that said, the vast majority of recruits now opt to end their recruitment now, because some will enroll at the school they sign with in January.

One Penn State target who will end his recruitment tomorrow is 4-star cornerback Daniel Harris.

The Floridan took an official visit to Penn State over the summer before ultimately committing to Georgia. Despite all the success Georgia has had, Harris backed off of his commitment to the Dawgs back in November.

The Nittany Lions became a team to watch with Harris after his decommitment because of his familiarity with Penn State. Georgia, and others, have stayed in the picture though.

Battling with Georgia for recruits is nothing new for Penn State Football. In the 2022 cycle, Penn State landed Dani Dennis-Sutton over the Dawgs. The battles have heated up in 2023 though. Penn State landed Tony Rojas over Georgia and others, but Georgia flipped two Penn State commits in Yazeed Haynes and Joshua Miller.

The Nittany Lions are now trying to get some revenge for those two losses.

This one will be over early tomorrow morning, with Harris announcing that he will sign at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Tune in to see if Penn State Football can finish the flip of the one-time Georgia commit.
