Penn State Football: Three takeaways from Kaveion Keys commitment
1. LBU
Penn State Football has long been known for its linebacker play.
The Nittany Lions have had scores of great linebackers over the years and this 2023 class could produce the next batch of stars.
Keys joins fellow 4-star recruits Tony Rojas and Ta’Mere Robinson as the linebackers in Penn State’s 2023 class. All three are extremely athletic and it would not be a surprise to see all three start together for the Nittany Lions one day.
This class, along with breakout freshman Abdul Carter, could give Penn State a strong linebacker corps for at least the next three seasons. The Nittany Lions have struggled with depth at linebacker the past two seasons.
That should not be a concern going forward, with this trio, Carter, 2022 signee Keon Wylie and upper classmen Tyler Elsdon, Kobe King and Jamari Buddin all having multiple years of eligibility remaining heading into 2023.
The school known as LinebackerU should feel good about this unit going forward, and Keys is a big reason why.
