Penn State Football Recruiting: Here’s what’s left to do in the 2023 class
2. Continue to battle for Daniel Harris
Penn State Football has been battling Georgia for 4-star cornerback Daniel Harris for a month now.
It was a shock when the Florida native moved off of his commitment to Georgia back in November, and it may even be more surprising that he’s still uncommitted. Like with Keys, Harris took an official visit to Penn State over the summer and gave the Nittany Lions serious consideration.
The Nittany Lions have a strong relationship with the 6-foot-2 corner and would love to add him to an already loaded defensive back haul in the 2023 class.
Recruiting against Georgia is not easy at all. The Dawgs are the defending champs and are recruiting at the highest level of anyone in the nation right now. Penn State has had recent success against Goergia though. Dani Dennis-Sutton and Tony Rojas were big recruiting victories over the Dawgs in the last two cycles.
Landing Harris will not make or break Penn State’s class, but it never hurts to add as much talent as possible. Harris hasn’t set a timeline for his second recruitment and it’s unclear if he plans to drag it beyond the early signing period or not.
