CB Terry Roberts

Penn State Football will have some overturn in its secondary with Joey Porter Jr. and Ji’Ayir Brown moving on to the draft.

While the Nittany Lions should be able to replace both losses internally, it wouldn’t hurt to add some depth if possible.

One option is Iowa transfer cornerback Terry Roberts.

Roberts is originally from Erie, PA, so if the grad transfer wanted to return home for his final year of college football, Penn State could be the place.

Roberts is coming off an injury that forced him to miss significant time in 2022. In five games, Roberts recorded 13 tackles and an interception. Along with playing meaningful snaps for Iowa at cornerback, Roberts was also a key member of Iowa’s special teams unit.

Even if Roberts ends up being just a depth piece at cornerback, he could become a big part of Penn State’s special teams. Penn State has had some fantastic gunners in the recent years, and Roberts could be next.

Cornerback isn’t a top priority, but if there’s room, look for Roberts to possibly end up at Penn State.
