Biggest Win #2

842. Final. 41. 806. 12

Penn State traveled down to SEC country and left with one of the most impressive non-conference wins for the Big Ten. Auburn presented the Nittany Lions with an Orange Out and a hostile environment.

Penn State quieted the crowd in the third quarter as they pulled away for a statement win. The Nittany Lions finished the home-and-home series against Auburn 2-0.

The game against Auburn was the coming out party for the Penn State rushing attack. Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen combined for four touchdowns and more than 175 yards. After last season’s disappointing rushing attack, this was a welcome sight for fans.

The talk coming into the game was about stopping Tank Bigsby. The defense delivered and held the Auburn star Running back to 39 yards. The defense also caused four turnovers, leading to the game getting out of hand.

Penn State has successfully recruited in the Alabama area as of late. A big showing in a hostile environment only makes those efforts easier.
