1. Get the running backs involved more

Penn State’s two freshmen running backs, Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen, have been electric this season.

Singleton has 918 scrimmage yards and 10 touchdowns this year. He also has a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown. Allen has been just as good, with 896 scrimmage yards and 10 touchdowns of his own.

There are two ways that these two stars in the making can help lessen the loss of Washington.

The first is that Penn State continues to give these two the rock in the run game and let them take over. Each has had their moments in the spotlight. Singleton went off against Ohio, Auburn and Maryland, while Allen had big days against Indiana and Rutgers.

Let these two continue to be the focal points of the offense and everything should be just fine.

Secondly, both have flashed in the pass game.

Allen has 14 catches for 148 yards and a touchdown, while Singleton has eight grabs for 55 yards. Offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich should increase the amount of screens the team runs and also incorporate the RB angle and RB wheel into the offense.

Let your two best playmakers make plays.
