Penn State Football will try to finish the 2022 season 10-2 without its top wide receiver

Penn State Football received some bad news on Tuesday with the announcement that wide receiver Parker Washington will miss the rest of the year.

The season may only consist of the season finale against Michigan State and a bowl game, but both games are games the Nittany Lions would like to win.

Washington leads the Nittany Lions in receptions and receiving yards with 46 catches for 611 yards. He also has two touchdowns on the season.

The junior was considering to be the new No. 1 wide receiver of Penn State with Jahan Dotson moving on to the NFL. Washington’s numbers are actually below where they were last season, but Penn State has added a strong running game this season and is using the tight ends more in the pass game.

Michigan State and whichever team Penn State plays in the bowl will obviously be big challenges and not having Washington will hurt. Here’s how Penn State Football will have to try to replace Washington in order to finish 2-0.
