Incoming 2023 Freshmen

Let’s start with Penn State’s 2023 recruiting class.

This is a great class for Penn State football, especially on the offensive line.

Penn State has two high 4-star offensive line commits in Alex Birchmeier and Jven Williams. These two are the headliners of the class. Birchmeier is a guard though and it looks like Williams may be better suited for in the interior as well.

The other offensive line recruit in Penn State’s class is high 3-star Anthony Donkoh. Donkoh looks like he will be a tackle at the next level. He is listed at 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds and has the length to play tackle.

Now that McNeil is gone, the Nittany Lions have even more reason to find another tackle in the 2023 class. The top targets from the summer, Evan Link and Stanton Ramil, are committed elsewhere, so unless Penn State can flip one of them, it will need new to find new targets.

Unless Penn State thinks Williams can play tackle at the next level, adding another tackle to this class seems like a top priority.
