2. 4-star LB Aaron Chiles (2024)

Penn State football is working to replenish its linebacker depth in the 2023 class, but the job will continue in 2024.

One of the best linebackers in the region is 4-star Aaron Chiles. Rated as the No. 4 linebacker in the country in 2024 cycle, Chiles already has offers from the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas A&M and USC. This is a significant offer sheet this early in a recruitment.

Landing Chiles over this competition will not be easy, but Penn State has some advantages.

First off, Penn State still considers itself LBU, and for good reason. Micah Parsons is one of the top players in the NFL right now, and he represents the Nittany Lions well. Penn State can also sell playing time. Abdul Carter is playing a lot as a true freshman and with Curtis Jacobs gone by the time Chiles can sign, more playing time will be available.

The Nittany Lions also have some connections in Chiles’ region. Chiles attends Our Lady Good Counsel High School in Olney, MD. That is the same town as current Penn State offensive lineman Landon Tengwall.

It’s going to be a battle for the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Chiles, but the Nittany Lions should stay in it as long as possible.
