Penn State Football looks to get back in the win column this week as they take on the Indiana Hoosiers in what could be considered a trap game.

The Hoosiers are a scrappy team that always seems to play the Nittany Lions tough at home. Add in the fact that there are high winds expected, and the likelihood of this being a weird, fluky game increases.

To avoid losing in their second consecutive trip to Bloomington, these are four players that will need to step up and play well for Penn State Football.

Bryce Effner (OT)

It seems likely that the Nittany Lions will be without projected first rounder Olu Fashanu against Indiana, which means someone else will have to step up.

Bryce Effner started at right tackle the past few games in place on the injured Caedan Wallace, and against Ohio State, he struggled. When Fashanu left the game last week, Effner bumped over to play left tackle. Presumably, he’ll be there again this week if Fashanu is unable to play.

He’ll have big shoes to fill in place of Olu Fashanu, so Bryce Effner’s performance will be pivotal to the success of the offense this week. Even if by chance Fashanu is good to go, there’s still a good chance Effner will play right tackle.
