Five things I want to see out of Penn State Football in November

Penn State to cover every game

No, I’m not a degenerate gambler, this is just a decent benchmark to see if a team is winning by about as much as they’re supposed to.

Starting this week, where the Nittany Lions are currently 13.5-point favorites, I’d like for them to win by at least 14. If they’re a 9.5-point favorite in a game, win by at least 10. If it’s 20.5, win by at least 21.

To me, this is a good way to gauge whether or not they’re taking care of business and not letting inferior opponents hang around and keep things close. Of course, the eye test could also do the trick, but that can be a bit subjective at times.

Plus, winning each game convincingly will help their case in climbing the rankings and finishing in a spot where they can find themselves in a New Year’s Six bowl.
