Kicking issues

Though in the box score he was perfect on the day, Jake Pinegar had some issues against Ohio State.

A pair of missed field goals early in the fourth quarter (neither of which actually counted), is cause for concern moving forward. Though he did rebound with what was at the time an important field goal later in the game to cut it back to a one possession game, inconsistency is what may cause some fans to hold their breath whenever he trots out to attempt a kick.

Missing a couple kicks could give Indiana some momentum and keep them hanging around this weekend.

Plus, James Franklin may be more inclined to go for it on fourth down if he doesn’t totally trust Pinegar, in which case if they go for it and don’t get it, is also a huge boost for Indiana.
