Cael Sanderson, and Penn State Wrestling, does it again as he received the commitment of Joe Sealey earlier today to wrestle for the Nittany Lions.

If you don’t know who Joe Sealey is, then you better start reading up because he’s a special talent. Sealey, a junior from High Point (NC), is fresh off winning gold at the 2022 U17 World Championships at 71kg. Joe is also a National Prep Champion, a Powerade Champion, and Beast of the East Champion. He currently attends Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, PA.

Sanderson has done the majority of his recruiting within state lines and that has benefitted him and Penn State wrestling greatly. Dominating recruiting within Pennsylvania is something that the football and basketball programs have made an emphasis of, and wrestling is no different.

FloWrestling currently has Joe Sealey No. 13 in their high school pound-for-pound rankings and it looks like he may settle anywhere from 157 to 165 in college. Many consider him one of the top wrestlers in the country for the 2024 class, and for good reason.

This was a great momentum move for Penn State wrestling, as it looks to defend its national title in the coming weeks. Adding one of the most promising recruits in the country will only add even more juice to a program that certainly doesn’t lack it.

When you couple Sealey with Tyler Kasak and Levi Haines, the future potentially looks even brighter in Happy Valley. But how can you ever go wrong when Cael Sanderson is piloting the ship?

I’ll give you a hint … you can’t.
